Our Courses
Our Policies
Students interested in enrolling in courses must complete a course Registration Form and submit payment (if any) for the course. The Registration Form may be completed on the day of the course or in advance. Acceptable forms of payment are: cash, credit, or check.
Any person may enroll or attend a course offered by the Whatcom Land Title School of Real Estate regardless of age, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression or gender identity, marital status, race creed, color national origin, the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability. If a student needs any special accommodation, please contact the school administrator.
In order to receive a Certificate of Completion, students must physically attend the course for the number of authorized classroom hours. A clock hour is defined as “a period of fifty minutes of actual instruction.” The additional minutes above fifty may be attributed to answering questions, administering an examination, and breaks.
Registration/tuition fee
Students may request a refund of registration, tuition, or other fees paid by the student for clock hour courses for which the student did not receive a Certificate of Completion. The Administrator will only consider written refund requests from students not issued a Certificate of Completion. Refunds are prorated based on the amount of time the student attended the course in person, up to 50 percent of the course. If a student attended greater than 50 percent of a course, the student will not be eligible for a refund. No refund requests will be considered if submitted by the student more than one year from the course registration date.
Record retrieval fee
A student may request, and the Whatcom Land Title School of Real Estate will provide, the requesting student’s record of attendance at no cost.
Cancellation policy
Students may cancel their registration for a course up to the start date of the class. Failure to withdraw from the class will result in a ‘fail’ grade and no Certificate of Completion will be issued.
The Whatcom Land Title School of Real Estate strictly prohibits the use of cameras and/or any recording device in the classroom for the purpose of recording, copying, or duplicating course materials and/or course content and delivery. Violation of this policy is cause for immediate dismissal. The Whatcom Land Title School or Real Estate reserves all rights to course content and materials.
