Locally owned Whatcom Land Title Co. was named Best Title Company in the 14th-annual Best of the Northwest awards announced by Bellingham Alive magazine in its October issue. The magazine received nearly 73,000 ballots from readers voting for a month on 127 different categories.
Colleen Baldwin, owner of Whatcom Land Title, gave credit to the award to team members who exemplify the firm’s core values of integrity, professionalism, connection and knowledge.
“We are committed to remaining locally owned and operated, connected to our community and those who live, work and play here,” Baldwin said. “We do business with other local organizations whenever possible.”
Whatcom Land Title recently added Closinglock, a new technology that offers customers a secure way to deposit earnest money without having to write a check or go to a bank for a wire transfer.
Whatcom Land Title Co. offers title insurance and escrow services at branches in Bellingham (2011 Young St.), Blaine (8105 Birch Bay Square St.), Ferndale (5616 3rd Ave.) and Lynden (507 Front St.). It was ranked No. 67 in the Top 100 Private-Owned Companies in Whatcom County for 2022 by Business Pulse magazine.
